1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: information you provide directly, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.

Information you provide:

• Account information — your name, username, email address, password, date of birth, and gender when you register
• Profile information — profile photos, cover photos, bio, location (city/state), and any other information you choose to add to your profile
• Content you post — posts, comments, poll responses, photos, and messages you send to other users
• Match preferences — your video chat and speed dating preferences including age range, gender preference, and location preferences
• Communications — messages you send through our Contact Us form or directly to our support team

Information collected automatically:

• Activity data — features you use, pages you visit, posts you view, games you play, and actions you take on the platform
• Behavioral data — how you interact with content, which features you engage with most, session patterns, and in-app navigation paths, used to improve the Service and personalize your experience
• Device information — device type, operating system, browser type, app version, and unique device identifiers (including Apple IDFA and Google Advertising ID on mobile)
• Connection data — IP address, connection timestamps, and session information
• Usage patterns — login frequency, session duration, and feature engagement
• Advertising data — ad impressions, clicks, and interactions with advertisements shown through our advertising partners (Google AdSense on web, Google AdMob on mobile)

Information from third parties:

• Advertising partners — our advertising partners, including Google, may share aggregated or anonymized data with us about ad performance and audience demographics
• Analytics providers — we may use third-party analytics services to help us understand how users engage with the Service; these services may collect usage data on our behalf

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and maintain your account and provide the Service
• Match you with other users for video chat, speed dating, and social connections
• Personalize your feed and discover content relevant to you
• Process points, virtual currency transactions, and shop purchases
• Send you notifications about activity on your account (likes, comments, friend requests, messages)
• Send login bonus and streak notifications
• Enforce our Terms of Service and community guidelines
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats
• Improve and develop new features for the Service
• Analyze usage patterns and user behavior to understand how the Service is used and identify areas for improvement
• Serve advertisements through our advertising partners (Google AdSense on web, Google AdMob on mobile), which may be personalized based on your interests and activity
• Measure advertising performance and effectiveness
• Respond to your support requests and communications
• Comply with legal obligations

We may combine information we collect about you across different contexts (for example, combining your in-app activity with your device information) to improve the accuracy of our services and the relevance of content and advertising shown to you.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

• With other users — your profile information (name, photo, bio, location if set to public) is visible to other users according to your privacy settings. Messages are visible only to the intended recipients.
• Advertising partners — we use Google AdSense (web) and Google AdMob (mobile) to serve advertisements. These services may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to collect information about your activity on MomoTokki and other websites and apps to serve you personalized advertisements. Google's use of advertising data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings or aboutads.info.
• Analytics providers — we may use third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to help us understand how users engage with MomoTokki. These providers may collect information about your use of the Service through cookies and similar technologies. This data is used in aggregated or anonymized form to improve the Service.
• Service providers — we use trusted third-party services to help operate the platform, including cloud storage (Cloudflare R2 for media), email delivery (Resend), and push notification services (Firebase). These providers process data only on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
• Legal requirements — we may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of any person or to address fraud or security issues.
• Business transfers — if MomoTokki is acquired, merged, or undergoes a similar business transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

When we receive legal demands for user data, we evaluate them carefully and comply only as required by applicable law. Where legally permitted, we will notify affected users before complying with such a demand.

4. Your Privacy Controls

You have meaningful control over your information on MomoTokki:

• Profile visibility — you can control who sees your age, gender, location, following/follower counts, and other profile details through your privacy settings
• Block and mute — you can block users to prevent them from contacting you or seeing your content, and mute users to hide their content from your feed
• Ghost — ghost a user to appear offline to them while still using the platform
• Post visibility — set each post to be visible to everyone, friends only, connections only, or private
• Account deletion — you can request account deletion at any time through Settings. We retain your data for 30 days to allow account restoration, after which it is permanently deleted.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specific retention practices:

• Account data — retained until account deletion is complete (30-day grace period after deletion request)
• Posts and content — deleted with your account; hidden posts may be retained briefly for moderation review
• Messages — retained while your account is active; deleted when all participants delete the conversation
• Activity logs — retained for a period reasonably necessary for security and fraud prevention, generally not exceeding 90 days unless a longer period is required by law or to resolve an ongoing investigation
• Moderation records — warnings and reports may be retained longer to ensure community safety

6. Video Chat and Real-Time Features

MomoTokki's video chat, speed dating, and debate features use WebRTC technology to establish peer-to-peer connections between users. Please be aware that:

• Video and audio streams are transmitted directly between users and are not stored or recorded by MomoTokki
• We use STUN/TURN servers to facilitate connections — your IP address may be exposed to other participants in a video session. If your IP address privacy is a concern, consider using a VPN before joining a video session.
• We log when video sessions start and end for activity tracking and points purposes, but not the content of sessions
• You should never share sensitive personal information during video sessions with people you do not know

7. Security

We take the security of your information seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it, including:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission
• Secure, hashed password storage
• Rate limiting and brute-force protection on authentication
• Session management with secure, HTTP-only cookies
• Regular security assessments and dependency updates

We may use automated systems, including machine learning models, to detect abusive content, identify fake accounts, and enforce our community standards. These systems process user content and behavioral signals to flag potential violations for human review. We continually work to improve their accuracy and reduce errors.

No system is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately and change your password.

8. International Data Transfers

MomoTokki is based in the United States and your information is stored and processed on servers located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

By using MomoTokki, you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your information in the United States. We take steps to ensure that transfers of personal data are subject to appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.

9. Children's Privacy

MomoTokki is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected information from a minor, we will promptly delete that account and all associated data. If you believe a minor is using the Service, please report it to us immediately.

10. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by MomoTokki.

11. Push Notifications

If you use the MomoTokki mobile app and grant notification permissions, we may send you push notifications for activity on your account (messages, likes, friend requests, speed dating reminders, etc.). You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings or within the app settings.

12. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. We respect these rights regardless of where you are located and will work with you to address your requests in accordance with applicable law.

• Access — the right to know what personal information we hold about you and how it is used
• Correction — the right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information
• Deletion — the right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions (such as legal obligations or ongoing disputes)
• Portability — the right to receive a copy of your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format
• Objection — the right to object to certain processing of your personal information, including for direct marketing purposes
• Restriction — the right to request that we limit how we use your personal information in certain circumstances
• Opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell your personal information, but you may opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes where required by law

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): If you are a California resident, you have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information as defined under California law. 13. Cookies, Tracking, and Advertising

We and our third-party partners use cookies, device identifiers, pixel tags, local storage, and similar tracking technologies to operate the Service, analyze usage, and serve advertising. Here is what we use and why:

Essential cookies:

• Session cookies — required for authentication and keeping you logged in. Cannot be disabled without losing access to the Service.
• Security cookies — protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and other security threats
• Preference storage — remembering your settings and preferences

Analytics and performance:

• We may use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to collect aggregated, anonymized information about how users interact with MomoTokki — including pages visited, features used, session duration, and navigation paths. This helps us understand what is working well and what needs improvement.
• Analytics data is used internally and is not used to identify individual users for advertising purposes.

Advertising cookies and tracking (Google AdSense / AdMob):

• We display advertisements through Google AdSense (web) and Google AdMob (mobile). Google uses cookies, device identifiers (including Apple IDFA and Google Advertising ID), and similar technologies to serve ads that may be personalized to your interests based on your activity on MomoTokki and across other websites and apps.
• Google may use the DoubleClick cookie and similar technologies to measure ad performance and serve relevant ads.
• On iOS devices, Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework requires your explicit permission before we can use your device's advertising identifier for personalized ads. You will be prompted to grant or deny this permission when you first use the app.
• On Android devices, you can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings under Google → Ads.
• On web, you can manage Google ad personalization at google.com/settings/ads.
• You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from many third-party advertisers by visiting aboutads.info or networkadvertising.org.

Behavioral tracking:

• We may track in-app behaviors such as features used, content interacted with, and navigation patterns to improve the Service, personalize your experience, and understand what our users value most.
• This data is collected and analyzed to make MomoTokki better — for example, to improve our feed algorithm, matching system, and game features.
• As we grow, we may introduce additional analytics or behavioral tracking tools. When we do, we will update this policy accordingly.

Your choices:

• You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect your ability to use MomoTokki
• On mobile, you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads through your device settings

MomoTokki does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track (DNT) signals, as there is no industry-standard framework for how such signals should be interpreted. We will continue to monitor developments in this area and update our practices if a standard emerges.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you through the Service where appropriate. Your continued use of MomoTokki after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
